This educational program introduces participants to 'Cyber Intelligence (CYBINT)' in a contemporary globalised strategic risk context. The course includes covering different major definitions of CYBINT, such as what it is and consists of. This is before going on to outline the rationale for CYBINT and Cyber Security purposes.
The program then examines how CYBINT can be conducted via a system-of-systems-based Intelligence Engineering approach and methodology.
During the programs, close reference is made to areas, such as to the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)’s highly-internationalized 'Cybersecurity Frame-work', also covering newer 2.0 updates emerging from around August 2023 onwards. The course finally includes covering extended areas, such as ‘CYBINT Futures’.
When you finish each program, you'll earn a Hybrid Intelligence World Certificate that you can share with prospective employers and your professional network.
With self-paced and automated learning programs, you get access to your own learning platform, and you can manage your own time and resources at your individual discretion.

What you will learn in this self-paced and automated learning program
This self-paced program begins by defining ‘Cyber Intelligence’ (CYBINT), together with outlining the ‘rationale’ for CYBINT, such as for Cyber Security purposes.
Secondly, the course examines how CYBINT work can be structured, with an emphasis on the ‘factors to consider', CYBINT ‘dimensions’, then moving to a focus on the processes of ‘prioritization’, and ‘sense- to decision-making’.
Thirdly, the course concentrates on the ‘doing’ of CYBINT, advancing System-of-Systems Dynamics (SoSD) concepts, for example, PMESII (Political, Military, Economic, Social, Informational/Intelligence, and Infrastructural) as harnessed by entities such as the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO).
Fourthly, CYBINT-relevant Intelligence Engineering (IE) pathways forward are introduced.
Fifthly, coming to some overall course conclusions and takeaways. Those last qualities include greater consideration that in CYBINT enterprises: (i) ‘The whole equals more than sum of (individual) parts’; extending to (ii) the position that we are moving conditions and situations ‘From “wait & watch” to “see & strike”’ operationally up and across to strategically; as well as (iii) that ‘Situational Awareness remains key overall’.
Takeaways
✔️ How the environmental- & horizon-scanning related & federation-/system of systems of e.g. PESTLE (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal/Legislative, Environmental) can be applied in cyber intelligence (CYBINT) contexts.
✔️ PESTLE - Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Legal/Legislative, Environmental factors and indicators.
✔️ US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
✔️ Intelligence as a defense concept.
