Dr. Nino Javakhishvili-Larsen, PhD, MSc, MA, BSc
Bio
Dr. Nino Javakhishvili-Larsen is a senior scientist and expert in human geography with a primary focus on creating human capital and developing spatial socioeconomic and institutional systems across urban, rural, and cross-border regions.
Since 2018, she has been actively engaged in research projects to explore the methodologies for adapting collective intelligence to measure economic growth and investigate deliberative governance and place-based policy-making.
Nino's research is centered around the socioeconomic processes that shape diverse localities and their heterogeneous conditions, which significantly impact the effectiveness of strategies implemented in different regions. She leverages the power of Collective Intelligence (CI) to acquire up-to-date information about ongoing socioeconomic processes in cities and regions. By utilizing CI tools, Nino is able to generate a more nuanced understanding of the unevenness and heterogeneity present in localities and their implications for policy-making.
