Welcome to Hybrid Intelligence World

As the academic year begins, Dr. Carina Antonia Hallin is set to return to her teaching duties for the Data and Information Management Course  at the University of Stavanger. This will involve commuting between Copenhagen and Norway for the foreseeable future. However, Hybrid Intelligence World is still continuing its progress towards global scaling. 

The Data and Information Management course at the University of Stavanger will teach students to navigate the  complexities of the digital age as we stand at the brink of the Fifth Industrial Revolution, which is been unfolding. 

This course will illuminate the increasing collaboration between human and machine intelligence, highlighting a synergistic approach across all sectors, with a special focus on the service sector. 

For instance, in medical diagnosis and treatment, AI-powered systems are assisting doctors in diagnosing diseases, crafting treatment plans, and monitoring patient outcomes. The course will delve into the burgeoning fields of collective and hybrid intelligence, which are set to see significant advancements as researchers and developers explore new ways to combine the strengths of human crowds with artificial intelligence (AI). 

This integration already yields powerful new tools and solutions applicable to a wide range of fields, making it more efficient for organizations and their employees to manage and utilize the vast amounts of data by effectively bridging human insight with machine capability..

Hallin is looking forward to meeting the new group of students and reuniting with colleagues at the University of Stavanger.

The only way to circumvent the risks to humanity from unchecked AI development is by ensuring this balance in all types of collaborations. 

Let this New Year be a beacon for new ideas, partnerships, and breakthroughs in hybrid intelligence. May we continue to explore the vast possibilities that lie at the intersection of human creativity and technological prowess, always with the aim to enhance our collective intelligence for the common good. We must champion ethical AI integration, prioritize human welfare, and advocate for sustainable practices in every endeavor.
